| 28745 | 2001-12-27 07:44:00 | When I was on the Internet my computer fell over (windows, no suprises) my modem is connected to a double phone jack and whilst it was still plugged in it would not 'hang up' even though the computer was shut off. It was not until I switched on the computer and reconected to the internet it reset the connection 'hung up'. Any explanations? Sorry if the explanation is confusing it is a hard one to explain. | Guest (0) | ||
| 28746 | 2001-12-27 08:47:00 | It must be an external modem (hardware driven) it never recieved the signal to shut off when the computer crashed, so it stayed connected. When you rebooted a signal went through, and it shut down. Don't worry about it, as long as it still works ok. |
