Once your phone line is tied up surfing, no other call can get to you from the exchange so call waiting aside, there is no way your computer could disconnect for an incoming call. Call waiting signals will usually (but not always) cause your modem to drop the connection Cheers Billy *<8-{) |

| 28824 | 2001-12-27 14:26:00 | I remember seeing modems with SDV or SVD I can't remember which why the acronym goes. But it stands for Simultaneous Data/Voice. These types of modems allowed you to use the internet and voice simultaneously but only one thing at a time. So maybe your modem has this capability. | Guest (0) | ||
| 28825 | 2001-12-27 16:27:00 | Had the same scenario by accident. I have call waiting and forgot to put the *52 in front of the dial up number, then when anyone rings, it cuts off the puter and the phone rings. Quite neat, eh? |
