| 29021 | 2001-12-29 04:22:00 | Sometimes after my PC has been on stand-by, when I touch the keyboard or mouse, the VDU stays blank rather than coming to life again, I have checked the obvious things like the plugs are plugged in correctly. The only way I find to fix it is to shut it down at the hard drive case and when rebooted everything is fine, can you suggest any answers please. Also somethings when I shut down, at the part where it say 'windows is shutting down' it gets stuck there and once again I have to shut it down at the hard drive case, any ideas how to solve this problem? I look forward hearing from you with some ways to solve these problems thanking you. |

| 29022 | 2001-12-29 08:08:00 | What sort of OS are you running?? and what system etc? It could be 2 seperate problems ie windows 98 has a known issue with shutdown or it could be a program that is running causing the problem....please let us know and then I'm sure someone can help | Guest (0) | ||
| 29023 | 2001-12-29 22:24:00 | I think it is 2 parts. The first part is the same problem my son has with his computer, we haven't found the solution yet. Though I suspect a bios power management setting, or something along those lines. I will be interested to see if anyone has a solution. |
