| 28870 | 2001-12-28 04:49:00 | I use IE 5.5 SP1, and I cannot download anything. The normal download windows pops up, begins the dload, and stops at 40-50kb. This happens with pictures and pages over 50k also. BUT, I can dload from ftp sites, and the PC-cillin updater still works, and the SETI@home dloader also works. These are independent of IE. ZoneAlarm I also use. My modem is an 'AMBIENT external 56k', from Dick Smiths. Help? :) | Guest (0) | ||
| 28871 | 2001-12-28 05:48:00 | Try using a download manager, I recommend 'getright'. Maybe seti@home is taking too much bandwidth for you to dload?? Try disabling it and find out if thats the culprit? |

| 28872 | 2001-12-28 06:36:00 | Seti only connects when it finishes a work unit, and its only about 300k when it does connect. There may be a problem with the site you are downloading from, check if there are any mirrors available. |
