28883 2001-12-28 04:45:00 I started with an Invalid Page Fault in module KPIRPK20.EXE which prevented printing SOME internet pages, then ALL internet printing, then ALL PRINTING whatsoever online or offline.

In between I became infected with W32magistr virus, which I dealt with (I thought) with Norton Antivirus which quarantined C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\MIXMAP.EXE

I am running Windows 98 with 64 MB ram and 4 GB rom and using Netscape 4.75.

Can anyone help me to get rid of the IPF and get printing again please?

28884 2001-12-30 08:06:00 Hello Nicol, as no-ones replied to your posting here's my stab at it.
Invalid Page Faults are caused by various memory problems, such as a program trying to use a block of non-existent memory.
Some of the standard ways to try are: delete all temporary files and clean out junk files; run scandisk then defrag (from Safe Mode preferably).
If your swap file does not have enough room, IPFs can occur.
Defective ram can also cause IPFs.
Also try uninstalling then re-installing the program giving the conflict, in this case kpirpk20.exe, whatever that is. It is not a system file and I couldnt find any reference to it with a Google search.

From Start-Find-Files or Folders try to find where kpirpk20.exe is. If it's in Program Files then you will get an idea of what the program is.

28885 2001-12-31 04:38:00 Thanks Terry for your comments.

I have got over the problem since posting my query, by removing then reinstalling my Epson 44 printer. All is fine now.

Apparently the Epson progress monitor causes interference with other programmes, leading to IPF faults. Apparently HP printers can do this also.
