Ok I Found OUt That Using Disk Defragmenter Can In somecases Stop ME From Loading I Downloaded THese Help Files From Microsoft.com and they said that if u use defragmenter and you shut your computer do when you start it up again ME Wont load The Might HAve Servise Packs For This But Perhaps Some Smart Computer Person Can Help |

I don't have this problem, either with Windows defrag, or Nortons 2002. Suggest you reinstall Me. |

Well I use ME but dunno about the smart bit.....anyway the problem you describe was resolved by microsoft about 2 months ago with a service pack/patch. I suggest you reload your ME if it is causing problems and then straight away use the windows update feature that comes with it...in your start menu.. and update which will get you all the service and security updates... being a typical microsoft product it needs all the help it can get. I can defrag a leisure without a problem but I use the speed disk feature of norton utilities and there are other free utilities around that will do a faster and better job than the one that comes with ME....if you read through the posts details of these will appear with regularity. Have fun and DONT disable the auto update feature....ME needs the updates. |
