| 28817 | 2001-12-28 04:52:00 | Hi Tweak'e, I haven't had any serious probings just lately, but about 2 weeks or so ago, all the time I was logged on I was getting 'intruders' every 10-20 seconds nearly all from Japan, but from Taiwan, Korea, France and Belgium too. Some were just 'normal' ISP pings etc but most were probably robotic port scans. Why does this sort of thing happen periodically? Does it happen to everyone? |

| 28819 | 2001-12-28 08:52:00 | Hi tweak'e I don't know very much about 'hits' and have only recently installed Zone Alarm {the free one} Over the last few days I have had heaps of alerts but I don't know what the ports etc. mean. Just a few moments ago while I was responding on Press F1 and alert came up with a NetBIOS NAME Port 137. Never had a hit on this site before! Can you tell me what this was please? Thanks. |
