2001-12-30 07:01:00 | Tweak just loves that AVG... Alan another option.. (but this costs a couple of bucks) is buy a latest magazine with an antivirus freebie on it. Never pay more than 10 bucks for a magazine (thats my price I set) and you not only get your AV but good up to date reading and probably alot more free/shareware apps. Your luck in your quest ..Good Knight

2001-12-30 10:07:00 | I was using McAfee but seemed to be always having memory problems despite having installed a new stick.....so I changed to AVG and disabled McAfee.......sailing along very smoothly now.....also have a small program called pqremove from Pandasoft which does very quick scan to find virus problems......only picks them up afterwards though but also cleans and repairs...I use them both ... | Guest (0) | |
2001-12-30 19:20:00 | Hi Allan I use AVG and have had no problems using it. I recomend it to anyone who is on a budget like me. I have tried several free-bees & this seems to be the best so far. It has features like most others I have tries, if not better. I think you will like AVG

2001-12-30 21:58:00 | I'd recommend AVG antivirus from http://www.grisoft.com/ It works, and is small and fast to load, has regular updates, and checks both incoming and outgoing emails as well. It is VERY effiecient, and gives you all the options when you find a virus.

Although focused on the anti virus programme NOD32, the article also charts some interesting comparative results, including 'AVG' mentioned above. For example: Norton's is given a 'Success Ratio' of 70.0%, McAfee 35.0%, and Inoculate-IT 55.5%. AVG (?) - 6% For your information. Cheers!!! e_ www.pcnineoneone.com |
