| 29114 | 2001-12-30 03:33:00 | Nephew's Christmas game Cricket 2000 freezes his computer. The screen goes blank with no colour and has to be restarted with Ctrl/Alt/Del. Pentium MMX 200 32MB RAM. Video SIS 6326 AGP 8 MB. DirectX 8. All exceeding the min specs for the game. DXDiag freezes when running the Direct Draw fullscreen test It is ok testing the normal mode displays. Direct 3D has the same effect. An older cricket game which used to run OK now freezes the screen also. I have played arround with the screen settings but no help. Anyone any ideas? Thanks |

Should work better with an 8meg card. also direct x 8.1 is out, i suggest u upgrade to that to clean up any faults with your current dx. have a geez for an updated vidio card driver too. also set your desktop colour depth to high colour 16bit, (right-click on desktop, properties, settings tab) have a play with the settings within the game if u can too, and set it to lowest quality to start with, but probably with 32bit colour. Its hard to say but i hope this helps. |
