| 29095 | 2001-12-30 00:18:00 | I use Windows 98 SE. Whatever I've done, I can no longer get the HELP files. I'm told: 'cannot open the file %systemroot%\help\windows.chm Please help me to get my HELP files back. |

This will enable you to detect and repair corrupted files. Start/Programmes/Accessories/System Tools/System Information. Then select Tools from the menu bar and select System File Checker. You will need your Windows 98 O/S disc available. Good luck! |

Although it was on my harddrive, it was, for some unknown reason shifted to a wrong folder. It took some time to figure all this out but things are back to 'normal' now. Thanks agin. Much appreciated. Leo |
