29092	2001-12-31 06:53:00	Hi, I have just had a look at Ontracks site and the latest version 4.0.12 has the encryption included which has now been OKd by the USA Gov. New with 4.0.12. Please find below, info as pasted from their site. Regards, Maurice ========================= Support for Windows Me Search results in File Finder can now be saved in comma-separated format. This format allows the user to open the results in Microsoft Excel or Access. Removed the ?Alt? key option while dragging over a folder to immediately force an expansion. Added full DES encryption access as a standard feature (now allowed by the US Bureau of Export Administration). The DES option (checkbox) state is remembered and set between feature calls. Improved refresh behavior in PowerDesk FTP. Now if an ftp site is expanded in the tree and is disconnected by the user, a refresh will collapse this site instead of reconnecting. The FTP site info window now allows the user to specify passive connection and the port number. When logging into an FTP site, PowerDesk now prompts for the password if it was not supplied. FTP site passwords are now encrypted before being stored in the registry. Added option to select binary mode when using the context menu in PowerDesk FTP. Fixed 'infinitely nested folders' problem which occurred with some sites with PowerDesk FTP. Fixed problem where files would not appear on some FTP sites. Fixed FTP problem logging onto VMS servers. Timed out FTP sites are now refreshed when an action is attempted. Added the ability to delete default FTP sites. Fixed bug in FTP right-click drag and drop. It now moves file to temp directory until 'Copy here' or 'Move here' option is chosen from right click menu. Fixed several Folder Synchronizer problems. Added 'Detached Always On Top' option to the Options\Align viewer pane menu. Fixed problem in file menu that wasn't allowing a file to be run out of File\run. Added several missing Help topics.
