| 29392 | 2002-01-01 01:13:00 | Tom I am not sure, but I wish I could make mine go away. I have a thoroughly half-dead hard disk and every time I boot it wants to do it and it drives me nuts. I am restarting heaps as I try get the remnants of data off it. Any clue either way would be of interest to me. robo. |

Tom once you get to end try to see if there is an enable scandisk.. The following will help you disable scandisk auto start. Goto the START Button Select Programs select Accessories select System Tools select System Info After the program starts Select Tools (on the top bar of the Window) select System Configuration Utility You should be at the General tab at this point click on the Advanced button then select Disable Scandisk After Bad Shutdown URL: lists.dalsemi.com Let us know how ya go.. 'I eat breakfast 300 yards from 4000 Cubans who are trained to kill me, so don't think you can come down here, flash a badge and make me nervous.'- A Few Good Men Note for Robo: I decided to go to movie quotes just in case people got the wrong end of the stick in future.. Hope this helps |
