29385 2001-12-31 22:46:00 How come I can send a Euro sign and I sometimes I can not in plain Email?
If you have the 'Num Lock' light (is that permeant Anti-pain) anyway on your keyboard while you hold down the 'Alt' key and type in on the numerical key pad on the right 0128 as soon as you let the 'Alt' key go up pops a ? or Euro sign,
(to get 'Num Lock' light to work press 'Num Lock' key)

But as I sent one E-mail today a message came up and asked something like 'would you like to send E-mail as Unicode?'
the Unicode for the Euro sign is 8364 but how do you get '8364' into your Email to display the Euro sign, For plain Text Email.

29387 2002-01-01 00:01:00 I think what you need in your case is a ASCII code for the Euro sign. Unfortunatly it dosent look like there is one yet but it has been proposed. In the mean time this site has to simple solutions that may help.

This site looks like they may have a download for the symbol.

29388 2002-01-01 02:02:00 OK How I get it, in fact it was nothing to do with David
it WAS THAT OTHER JOKER THAT MADE ABOUT A DOZEN POSTING AT MIDNIGHT.

So no need to use the F word.

Checking through back queries I see that somebody hijacked my name to send you a somewhat rude response. I would like to think that the tenor of my posts on this Forum would indicate that I was not the writer in this case.

Cheers
