29454 2002-01-01 10:38:00 Put a XH7900 10/100 mbps PCI network Card into a Win-ME PC to make a simple link to a Win_XP laptop, since the parallel link doesn't seem to want to work... and it comes up with 'Explorer has caused error' message Newdotnet3_23.dll or <unknown> (it varies as to which), which keeps reappearing every time we press Close. Also makes diskette demand noises, which seem to do nothing. Rebooting has no effect.

Presently trying to restore a previous restore point, but not confident this will solve it. Any ideas.

29456 2002-01-01 11:12:00 Greetings
I think you problem is not caused by the NIC but by a product called 'new.net' If you can get past the close buttons to the control panel (perhaps in safe mode?) it can be removed using the Add/Remove programs applet. Allegedly.

Tell us how you get on.
