I have 320 only to discover my typical usage rarely uses more than 128 so I created a 100 meg ram drive with the excess. Win9x rarely uses more than 256. | 29598 | 2002-01-02 23:58:00 | i forgot to mention there is very little performance gain per $$$ once you go above 512. unless you are doing photo/film editing. mark makes a good point. it all depends on how you use your comp. some people here use 512 ram + 600meg swapfile. 256ram is a good size for an average comp. i havn't heard of anyone with pc slowing down (apart from vcache probs) with large ram but i doubt there are many people who have over 1gig ram. |

I do a fair amount on my computer, and find that this is ample for my everyday needs. You could fit a 256MB, but if you are an everyday user, you may not need that much... Regards, ALAN |
