29761 2002-01-04 05:43:00 I have found that LOADQM.EXE is interfering with such simple tasks as defrag. I have turned it off while defragging so that the defrag will go past 3%. What is it? Can I delete this program? What will the effects be? I am running Windows ME. Guest (0)

This program is the Microsoft MSN query manager, used with the chat program MSN Messenger. Disabling it from startup will not harm the software. In fact, it will free up some of your computer's resources.

If you have Windows 98, go start, run and type msconfig, then from MSConfig's startup tab you can simply untick the box next to loadqm.exe.
