29974 2002-01-06 03:01:00 Hi, anyone got suggestions on how to get a website noticed?, i run a site called www.100inch.orcon.net.nz and ive got it ranked first on yahoo!, google and a few others but i later found out the keywords my site uses where only looked up like 60 times last month on the search engine, i know i could buy some banner exposure, but does it really work?, i dont think ive ever clicked on a banner EVER. Get mentioned in print magazines and journals.

Oh, and change the first page to INCLUDE your title. It takes a bit of hunting to see what you are actually advertising! How many people look at the title bar?

29977 2002-01-08 01:56:00 hmm, good point, should i make a splash page that has all the info and and enter button at the bottom to continue on to the site, i cant really put any text on the frontpage without screwing up the design. Guest (0)
29978 2002-01-14 04:20:00 Well...I put a new image in the center, have a look www.100inch.orcon.net.nz it looks a little out of place, but could you guys tell me what you think, if its better or if i should change it back, the old center img is at /images/centreold.jpg for the peeps that didnt see the old one. thanks for the help.
