| 29825 | 2002-01-05 00:44:00 | I remember reading about USB 2.0 a while ago, but I haven't heard anything lately. Is this a happenin' thang or not? I've never used USB at all, but my vague impression is that USB 1.1 was a bit of a dog. Fair or not? |

USB 1.1 was great, it never claimed to be superfast, and there are stacks of peripherals for it. Firewire (iee 1394) was the better product but has ended up a bit like Betamax did vs VHS. USB 2.0 should combine the speed of firewire with the plethora of peripherals already available for USB. I'll buy a USB 2.0 interface when the prices are better though. |
