Help please, I just updated and ran my anti virus ....norton...and it has brought up an alarm stating that my boot record has changed. This has happened in the last 4 days and I cannot think of anything I have done that would affect this. The only program I have installed is system mechanic and I have run all the tests etc that it can do. Would this somehow affect my boot records or is it a sign of something more sinister?? |

Chances are that System Mechanic has changed something in the boot sector, to 'optimise' it. Probably nothing to worry about. |

Thanks dave...after reading all the news about viruses etc and the nasty things they do I get a bit paranoid at times... |
