| 29927 | 2002-01-05 11:10:00 | Trying to get a web browser working in a RH7.1 linux box. I have managed a ppp connection and can ping my isp but browser says can't find host. It is not a firewall issue and I thought it was a dns problem but the isp's dns exists in resolve.conf and browsing to an ip address instead of a name still gives no connection in browser. Do I have to tell Konqueror somewhere to use the established ppp connection. Thought appreciated. Regards Brian |

Search for 'linux and ppoa' in the search window at top of this page, with PressF1 button clicked. Read the last four or five especially for the guts of it. Also check out the man pages for route and ifconfig. And the HOWTO-PPP. |
