| 30163 | 2002-01-07 03:20:00 | Is there anyone with this GeForce 2 card? I've enjoyed it so far (although I don't think much of 3Deep and I haven't figured out which games benefit from the 3d glasses at this stage), except for two issues which may be connected. The first is the drivers. Apparently I'm using the ASUS latest for this card (v6.31b) however according to the Red Faction game these are old drivers and I should be using Detonator 3 v6.5 or better. The problem is that I'm not sure which drivers on the Nvidia website is the equivalant of 6.5 as they appear to be using a different terminology (12.90 or something). I tried downloading the drivers and although they appeared to work, none of the special functions that came with card did. I reinstalled the original drivers (6.31b) and the functions work fine again - even though Red Faction insists that I upgrade. The second problem is graphical hiccups when I reach the Data Retrieval Mission on the Star Trek Armada II game. I can only think that this is a driver issue as surely the card shouldn't have any trouble with the game. Keeping all this in mind does anyone know of a location where I can find updated drivers that will work and not kill my cards other functions. Much appreciated. Richard |

The link as follows usa.asus.com If the problem still exsists with the star trek game I would also suggest you try download a update patch for the game avaliable at the manufactures website. Good Luck ==Orac== |

There is a patch for Armada II as yet (although I've heard one's coming). Anon... I lose the TwinView capabilities, which we use, and I've heard the VideoSecurity goes out the window too - which we will be using at a later stage. Richard :-) |
