| 30028 | 2002-01-06 12:54:00 | When trying to convert to html a table made in word I get the following message: 'The selected text converter is an old version which does not work with the current version of word.Reinstall the converter and try again.' This operation used to work fine until i had to reinstall all my software due to virus. Using Win98 and Office97. I have reinstalled Office but still no luck and can't find anything in help or troubleshooter help. |

| 30030 | 2002-03-27 23:28:00 | I commented about this bug at a Microsoft Tech Seminar here in Honolulu. No one seemed to be to sympathetic. Microsoft, like any other organization, can not be trusted to do everything in the best interest of the user. So don't misplace your trust. It seems that our legitimate complaints about such policies are falling on deaf and / or dumb ears. It's wrong to disable software in order to force users to buy newer versions. If the Judicial branch had brains this would be fixed, if the Legistlative branch had balls... the same. Worse it seems the brains and balls inventory in goverment decision making has been reversed. The supremem court has tiny balls for brains and legislators seem to have tiny brains for balls. I don't know what this means, but their lack of focus on these issues and the insane 'remedies' leaves out in the cold, everyman and woman for himself. That is the effect of their 'leadership'... if you can call it that. Meanwhile, just Ctrl-A Ctrl-C open Notepad and Ctrl-V save it DO IT AGAIN except this time take it from Notepad into your HTML editor. then waste more time reformatting the text again. Eventually they will corner us all into buying an XP licence... Hey I don't want one I Like Office 97 better it's paid for. Perhaps you could offer some FREE SPEECH (bribe) to rememdy the situation with Sentor McConnel and other phoney legislator friends. But rmember they will also be 'listening' to the free speech of others, like big Bill Gates. How does one measure the debate winner in a FREE SPEECH contest as Senator McConnel would have it? Ask Ken Starr! |
