30135 2002-01-07 09:15:00 Each time I attempt to print off my Internet Screen I get an error message ( such as Error writing on LPT 1, Printer not connected )
The only way I can print is to transfer the page to a file and print it off the file- very time consuming
Word 2000 etc print no problem at all.I am running Win 98 and have a HP670C printer. Thanks for any advice

The specifications for HP printers seem to imply that they require the new (more expensive) IEEE2484 printer cables. I looked today at the book for an HP400 (1995), and this had that requirement in the specs.

Most of the time you would get away with the older commodity printer cables, particularly through Windows, but it might be worth a try.

I'd shop around for such a cable -- some prices seem a bit high to me.
