30184 2002-01-07 07:09:00 A friend has been given a copy of MS office 97 by his employer to put on his new computer so that he work in Excel at home. His o/s is Win XP.His computer doesn't recognise the disc as having anything on it. My Win 98 can open it. My query is, will XP run off 97 or will he have to request Office 2ooo Guest (0)

30186 2002-01-07 08:01:00 As for Brendan M's question, sorry I don't have a answer, but as for b m's 'question' of asking whether its a oringinal disk or copy, I'm just wondering since when could MS softwares be copied, I never knew they could. Could they? Even backing up, which is not illegial, don't they still have a copy protection? Guest (0)
