30019 2002-01-06 12:39:00 Hi all.
I have just run SiSoftSandra and it mentions the following files are out of date and to get an updated version. Where the heck do I go to look for them?

WIN87EM, MSVCRT20, NETBIOS, CRTDLL, DSOUND, and WNASPI32.

Cheers.

30020 2002-01-06 21:58:00 basically I have no idea on where to go for those files but I can reccomend going to www.pitstop.com as a alternative to Sisoftsandra. This site will do a realistic check on your machine and also has many tips etc on how to fix any problems they find as well as giving you a comparison against similair machines....I had Sisoft and found pitstop a lot better. 30021 2002-01-07 02:49:00 Is it Windows 3.1x or Windows 95 you are running?

You will probably find that those files are in the Y2000 upgrades.

You probably don't need WIN87EM unless you have a 486SX or 386 CPU.

Anyway, if the computer works ... it's not broken.

30023 2002-01-07 03:41:00 Thanx for that dipstick 01.
I use pcpitstop at least once a week and find it very good. Its neat the way it checks your caches etc. However, it doesn't check the same things that SiSoftSandra checks, and I thought together I would have all bases covered. SiSoft seems to analyze file versions and bios etc. Pcpitstop doesn't.
Cheers.
