30256 2002-01-08 01:35:00 For some time now I have been unable to view jpg's as wallpaper. (have had to convert them to bmp). Is annoying but no big deal, until now that is. Am trialing 2 programs (Catalog Wizard 2 and Firehand Lightning 3) with the view of burning html based photo albums to CD. Problem, when I try to view my generated files I am unable to view any of the jpg thumbnails or files. Why? The program is working fine because if I replicate it on my notebook it works no problem at all. Am hoping someone out in the ether can help and save me a total reformat/reinstall.
Thanks in Advance

30257 2002-01-08 02:31:00 Could be that the required DLLs are missing from your System sub-directory.
There are 2 that I know of, in my Windows\System folder:
Jpeg1x32.dll
Jpeg2x32.dll
They are Eastman Kodak libraries linked to 'Windows Imaging', whatever that may be.

If they aren't on your PC, you may need to extract them from wherever they reside on your Windows CD (Inside one of those pesky .cab files, I'm sure).

Having written this, I'm not actually certain that those particular files weren't placed there by some other graphics program, but it's the only thing I can think of that would explain your symptoms.

30258 2002-01-08 06:01:00 Nope, that's not the problem. Have both of those files. It's interesting, even when I right click on a JPG and select 'Open with' Internet Explorer it still opens with PSP6. Very strange. Guest (0)
