| 30344 | 2002-01-08 21:26:00 | Morning All! For those who don't know me, I'm the Advertising Campaign Director for IDG Communications. We produce IDGNet, PC World, PressF1 web sites, (and a whole bunch of others). We've launched a new site today, which may be of interest to you guys - called TeachMe (http://teachme.co.nz). It's a one-stop web site for those of you looking for IT Training, and who don't want to visit 15 different training sites to source information. You can do all your comparing and choosing on TeachMe and THEN contact the provider of choice to buy the training you want. Anyway, have a look and let me know what you think! We have 5 providers listing courses at the moment, and will be increasing on this over the next couple of months. Cheers Kerry |

To answer that question of 'that sounds really good...but I wonder what it's really like'. It's like the degree I am studying at Massey, you would think it would be good being a degree from Massey...right?? sorry...wrong!!. Case example :One of our papers covered Macromedia Flash, pity the a student had to show the lecturer how to tween something as the lecturer couldn't figure out how. There was the lecture on Javascript Quote: 'You can place the script within the head or the body of the page.I have found no difference where you place it, so I guess it doesn't really matter where in the page it goes'. That is just a small example of the blundering within the IS dept at Massey, trust me you could write a book on the incompetence there. In hindsight I wish I had of spent my Money elsewhere, but how do you find out who is good and who is not?? When spending $500+ on a paper I expect the lecturers to have a solid knowledge of the subject they are teaching. |
