1288239 2012-07-13 06:47:00 Anything is fixable if you are prepaired to throw enough money at it.
Even Cathedrals.

Thing is not only was it "stomped on by an islander", it was also left out in the rain and wasn't even worth anything as parts...

1288241 2012-07-13 07:34:00 Do you mean the laptop or the Cathedral. Driftwood (5551)
1288242 2012-07-13 07:38:00 Pffft. That is an easy fix!

Just needs a brand new everything, and they're available all over town.

1288243 2012-07-13 08:11:00 If the main chassis excl. the screen is sorta ok, could keep that. Replace the mainboard, HD, DVD. Grab a identical screen replacement on eBay with the chassis together and connect it back on ... a bit of duct tape where else required. A new keyboard and some Mini PCI cards like the sound, wifi and network. Install a OS on it ... Nomad (952)

The laptop of course... :illogical

1288245 2012-07-13 08:54:00 in short no its not considered usefulyl fixable when everything needs to be replaced as it would be cheaper and have a better result to buy a new one. Slankydudl (16687)
1288246 2012-07-13 08:57:00 A bit of duct tape and a bit of imaginative thinking will be able to fix it. ChazTheGeek (16619)
1288247 2012-07-13 09:23:00 Maybe do this? fred_fish (15241)
