1288195 2012-07-13 03:39:00 We are getting an iPad to lend to members of a Seniors Computing group so they can get hands on experience of the new technology in their own homes.
Ok think most have broadband so if we got a wifi modem and plugged it into their existing router - any issues with that working nice and easy?!
Thanks

1288196 2012-07-13 03:47:00 Yes, do not get a wifi modem, get a wifi access point....!

Something like this should do

Thanks for that. As said it is only on a temp basis for a few days at each site so once set up the wifi pw it should be then ok to simply plug into the next site and end of story?

1288199 2012-07-13 04:48:00 Thats a bit confusing. Do you mean an ADSL Modem/Router (Straight Modem if it is a single port one and Modem/Router if a 4 port one) and a WIFI Router, or if it is a WIFI ADSL Modem/Router, configure it and replace your existing one. You could run both (second one essentially as a wireless access point), but its all a bit ugly. Iantech (16386)
