| 1288190 | 2012-07-13 00:11:00 | I went to a mates place last night, to install OSX 10.4.10. I managed to reinstall it. But without disk 2 (they didnt have it, so I had to untick bundled apps in the setup). But, I didnt partition the hdd (there's only 1 partition on the hdd). If the person wanted to reinstall Bootcamp (I dont know if it was on the hdd before I erased the hdd, it wouldnt boot into OSX). Can you create another partition (for Bootcamp), without starting all over again?? Would something like Gparted do this? |

Go into disk utilities and create a partition then select this partition when usign bootcamp assistant (nothign should be lost) IF your using the partition specificly for bootcamp then just use method 1. Although theroretically no data should be lost it is still worth making a time machine backup. |

| 1288192 | 2012-07-13 00:53:00 | Cool. So, install Bootcamp first. Then run Assistant, then select the 1 partition thats there already, (and Bootcamp- Assistant will let you create another)?? I've never used OSX before. These guys had to bring a windows laptop to the place. So I could check on how to do whatever lol in Google OSX will be on one partition (and Bootcamp MAY be on another). Thats if the person rings me again, and wants it installed. Ta for the info Slanky |

Then it will guide you through the whole process by first asking you to make a backup then select a partition size and then to insert windows CD and begin the install of windows. | Slankydudl (16687) | ||
