1287313 2012-07-09 10:21:00 Hi people. :)

I will be so grateful if anybody can help me resolve this issue. :clap:clap:clap

I get the following error message
"500 Internal Server Error"
in response to attempting to load the following pages :

www.google.com
www.google.co.nz :'(
www.bing.com

I am running Firefox 13.0.1 on Windows 7

I have tried internet searches for the last hour or so.
Each result leading to a dead end. :groan:

1287314 2012-07-09 10:30:00 Does it do the same thing with IE? I cant even get google.com. It always goes to google NZ. But bing works in FF. Sounds like its a prob with those sites, not you Speedy Gonzales (78)
1287315 2012-07-09 10:33:00 That is generally an error generated by a problem on the server, not on your machine.
Having said that, those sites are pretty robust and also work fine here.

It may be that your machine for some reason is passing some wierd requests to the server (possibly malware related) or there may be an issue with your ISP's caching server (who is your ISP?) that is generating the error rather than the target site.

1287316 2012-07-09 11:18:00 Some sort of malware would be my guess. inphinity (7274)
1287317 2012-07-09 11:26:00 I've run a couple of malware scans from 2 different programs.
Hasn't made a difference :(

1287319 2012-07-09 11:29:00 I'm pretty sure I tried in on IE weeks ago. Same problem. Abert (16833)
1287320 2012-07-09 11:52:00 What programs did you scan the hdd with? Speedy Gonzales (78)
1287321 2012-07-09 23:30:00 Can't recall the programs I did the malware scan with.
It's actually my brother's computer that is having this issue.
IOBIT was one of them, the other perhaps a MS program.

1287322 2012-07-10 00:30:00 It's not something to do with DNSChanger virus is it? - the timing's a bit coincidental...

See dns-ok.gov.au/ for a web diagnostic, or check out this article (http:)
