1264202 2012-03-10 23:51:00 Hello Forum,

Are there high quality kayaking and similar activities north of Auckland? - While the weather is still reasonably good (until winter arrives). Wonder if you forum members are able to advise me there?

Do not want to go to a place that disappoints with things like sullen staff or disorganised management. I'm after a good outing experience.

Thanks for your assistance,
Barry Kirkland.

Where do I hire the "superior kayak"? From a place that does have staff and management :illogical ?

And where would a nice large piece of water be :illogical ?

I was thinking of a place that has staffing and which supplies kayaks for a trip over water.

1264206 2012-03-11 02:57:00 Puhoi river just north of Waiwera is supposed to be good Whenu (9358)
1264207 2012-03-11 03:14:00 As Whenu says the Puhoi river is pretty good and not to far out of Auckland, couldn't recommend a company though as with an organisation that only does groups. stormdragon (6013)

The thing with the net is you can generally find user review on places........

Although once you have the canoe, who cares about the sullen staff? You're way out in the water.
