1264011 2012-03-10 01:34:00 Are there any NZ ISPs who offer unmetered data to all content cached in NZ by Akamai or Limelight Networks? Greven (91)
1264012 2012-03-10 01:36:00 Telstra and slingshot do some unmetered plans from memory but I don't know about the network bit... icow (15313)

1264014 2012-03-10 01:55:00 Presumably you want a consumer plan, not a business plan? We have our business package through ICONZ and all NZ traffic is free. somebody (208)
1264015 2012-03-10 02:28:00 Yea, I am looking for a consumer plan. I see ICONZ doesn't offer unmetered national traffic on their consumer plans. Greven (91)
1264016 2012-03-10 04:59:00 TrustPower kinect have an unmetered data option. We've got it, and love it. goodiesguy (15316)
1264017 2012-03-10 09:19:00 I'm with Xnet and as far as I know, they still offer unmetered data from all Akamai download servers, as well as all Microsoft updates (and most other downloads from microsoft.com) and some Steam content. We frequently download 70GB in a month, of which 20GB is usually unmetered. ryanjames.powell (13554)

1264019 2012-03-11 02:16:00 I just checked out Xnet & they are bloody expensive. I have noticed I can easily chew through 4-5GB per day when me & my flatmates play online games, so I was hoping to find an ISP that will allow me to use my cap for that & not have the steam, xbox & windows updates etc. count for not too much more than I pay now. I can get 60GB on Vodafone for the same price as 8GB on Xnet.

I can't find anything about unmetered data on Kinect's website.

1264020 2012-03-11 03:23:00 Windows updates, all the downloads from the MS download site, Itunes (or downloads from the Apple site), and ATI drivers from the ATI site aren't counted either. Because they use akamai servers. I think anything from the Corel site is unmetered too

Well, they were, when I was with Xnet. Telstraclear is unmetered for steam. If you use their Steam Content Server. Not too sure about Xbox on Xnet. Cant remember if I was billed for that or not
