That's assuming there is also a non-origin version. It's possible but probably unlikely since EA owns Maxis and thus SimCity, and also own Origin and of course want you to use it.

1263753 2012-03-08 09:59:00 I believe ICOW is referring to the failsafe game procurement method for when you are unable to play purchased versions. Personally, I haven't bothered buying games with inconvenient or invasive DRM or pirating games since I started using steam. Greven (91)
