1263664 2012-03-09 06:44:00 Just wondering - do ISPs or Telecom do call outs and are they expensive? Like if at home, you have people who don't know about technology. They only know how to turn the router on and off. The semi literate people have gone to work or is away from home. Nomad (952)
1263665 2012-03-09 08:32:00 At the moment I am paying a total of $95.12 for 10 Gb from Actrix ($40.95) and Telecom ($54.17).

It appears that Actrix are offering VIOP plus 30 Gb for $75 a saving of $20.12 per month.

I feel very tempted to change. I only occasionally use my landline for phone calls and have a cellphone. Two concerns I have are who pays for the Orcon Genius modem and how secure are they?

1263666 2012-03-09 08:47:00 Secure in what context? More secure than a physical line is protected from some phreaker sitting outside your place listening in? Arguably, yes ;-) Chilling_Silence (9)

I am a little bit wary of using a wireless connection.

1263668 2012-03-09 11:56:00 You don't have to use Wireless, you can turn that off in the router settings and be 100% hard-wired if you so desire :) Chilling_Silence (9)

Thanks for that.
