| 1288275 | 2012-07-13 07:32:00 | Been presented with a Gigabyte HD 5870 with 1 noisy fan. Model is T128010SH 12v 0.25AMP It has 3 wires. There are a few used ones on ebay but I already have one of those. Anywhere to source one locally? |

| 1288278 | 2012-07-13 14:55:00 | Get the one with 3 wires, it's the RPM readout for the sensor. If this isn't present, the card will probably think the fan has failed and refuse to operate. |

| 1288282 | 2012-07-14 06:13:00 | The contacts that are crimped onto the wires should be removable from the plastic plug, you usually just need a sewing pin\needle or such to lift up the plastic tabs that hold them in place and then pull the contacts out. So, you could probably swap the plugs around and then remove the extra wire. |
