1264722 2012-03-13 07:57:00 "The Making of Frozen Planet" is currently airing on One. Does anyone know where this episode(?) is from?

It does not seem to appear anywhere other than TVNZ's website - not even the BBC admit to its existence. Once again, New Zealand seems to have it's own little version of something that exists nowhere else in the world.

This is driving me insane!

1264723 2012-03-13 08:02:00 At the end of each episode in the BBC Earth stuff on DVD, there is usually a 10 minute making of clip. That will be what you are watching.

The BBC is among the very best at docos. They have played many BBC docos on TVNZ7 over the time of it's short existence and I will certainly miss them when TVNZ7 closes.

Only the Poms can make quality docos like that.

Whilst that may be true at the moment (because we seem to have stopped making documentaries), in the recent past NZ was the best in the world at nature documentaries (well, at least as good as the Poms). Peter Hayden and the unit in Dunedin was world renowned. There is no need for cultural cringe. Have a look here to jog your memory www.nzonscreen.com
