| 30751 | 2002-01-11 07:27:00 | I think I made a blue, while trying some new background pictures in display. (settings, control panel) Because now, when booting up I get two diferent pictures, flicking one after the other, until it settles down, and then decides to run in safe mode. It says make sure your settings are correct in control panel, see troubleshooting section in help. If you could help me with this, it would be great. I am on win 98. ie 6. Thank you. |

| 30752 | 2002-01-11 07:50:00 | Hello Dan While in Safe Mode, suggest you enter Setting / Control Panel ..etc, and delete all and any backgrounds or return to the Std MS green? background. Shutdown& restart, see what happens. You might like to download Regedit (use Google to find it - ZDNET I think)and cleanout you Registry (safely). Cheers.....John |

| 30755 | 2002-01-11 10:03:00 | Err on the side of caution dude.. Whats happened is you have inadvertantly increase your refresh rate to a setting higher than your monitor can handle... Hop into safe mode and under 'settings' check that the refresh rate is = to or less than your monitor specs for the screen size. And then all will be well ==Orac== |
