I have a 2nd-hand scanner of the above description, but with none of the software that comes with it when new. I have attached cables to power, printer and computer, as indicated on the back of the scanner. Running win98, I downloaded drivers from www.mustek.co.nz. When I was trying to install the scanner the printer never recognised new plug'n'play hardware so I had to do things the long way. I now have an icon for the scanner in my controls menu. However, can someone tell me what to do next? I realise I need some sort of software (am getting photo editor + soon)to use the scanner but is there anything else I need to do? Did the straight downloading of the drivers do the trick or do I have to then install them in some other way? |
