31195 2002-01-14 11:13:00 I'm having probs downloading a zip file from a website. It's just over 3Mb long. After about 50% downloaded it stops & tells me it's completed the download, but in reality I've only got part of the file. Happens everytime. Line conditions are good, have 56k dial-up modem, 128Mb RAM, 733MHz processor, Win98SE. Any ideas? Guest (0)
31196 2002-01-14 11:32:00 Its happens.

Its more than likely the file is corrupt or has not been zipped correctly...

Try emailing them to see if they can fix the problem.

Or you may like to post the link here and someone may like to try to see if they get the same results..

31198 2002-01-14 11:38:00 Most of the times I have encountered this it has turned out to be the server hosting the file.

You can try a download manager and see if it can get past the hurdles. If it doesn't you'll either have to email the webmaster or search for the file elsewhere.

www.weblooper.org has a good one that is NOT spyware and worked really well for me (I downloaded a 344Mb file with it - no probs)

Thanx

31200 2002-01-15 07:47:00 Now I know why you chose slumbergod for a moniker!

Downloading 344MB is a challenge to the normal human lifespan! With patience like that, you are truly a god, or perhaps Rip Van Winkle.

Cheers and in awe
