| 31079 | 2002-01-13 21:12:00 | I had the same problem using an Epson 440 Printer. Found the follwing info which worked for me. (The default settings with Word's page borders in some printers sometimes place part of the border (usually the bottom) outside the printable area of the page. If this is happening click on the 'Options' button in the Page Border tab. You'll see you can change the distance from each edge of the paper. Unfortunately you can only go up to 31pt which is about 11mm and still too near the edge for most inkjet printers. The solution is to choose 'Text' in the 'Measure from box'. This way the borders will be measured outwards from the margins, rather than inwards from the page edges.) In Word 2000 I found the choices in the following places: 'Format' button on toolbar, choose 'Borders and Shading', click on the 'Page border' tab in the choices that appear, click on the 'Options' button on that page, a Border and Shading options page appears, on that page is a box with the choices 'Edge of Page', and 'Text'. Click on 'text' and click OK. |
