| 31253 | 2002-01-14 10:13:00 | hi guys, happy new year to you all. Just a quick question, i cannot defrag. I get to 1% and it goes back to 0. In the past i have had no problems, all i have had to do is disable the screen saver and everything has been fine. What am idoing wrong now? Jules |

| 31256 | 2002-01-14 20:15:00 | Hi Jules The best way to defrag your computer is to run it in safe mode. Reboot your computer and press F8 (I think, could be F4 can never remember) this should take you into a opiton screen where you can select safe mode. Once you are in safe mode defrag your computer the normal way. |

I did try the safe mode option, but I think I was doing something wrong(am still a novice remember)and so got a bit frustrated. But your fix it worked. Thanks a heap, and happy computing Jules |
