| 31178 | 2002-01-14 10:13:00 | I am looking to buy a new CPU and motherboard for my computer. I am looking at 900mhz CPU's. I see that a Celeron 900 and AMD Duron 900 are priced nearly the same. Is one of these CPU's more preferrable than the other? I would love to hear your view. Cheers Cam |

I think you get better performance for your money with the Duron. Cheers |

Pay little attention to performance benchmarks as a lot focus on one or two tests, not tuely reflecting the overall performance of a processor. As for specs the celerons run 100mhz FSB from the 800 upwards with 128k L2 cache on the 800~1.1ghz celerons and 256k L2 cache on anything above that. |
