| 31090 | 2002-01-13 13:05:00 | If you are running Win2000 have you had a look in the dir 'dllcache'. It's meant to be for saving critical files and they seem to feel that the pinball game is a critical file. There was about 218mb of files in there. What a waste of hd space. | Guest (0) | ||

From what I've heard it's there so you don't have to keep putting the OS CD in the drive every time you add or remove a Windows component. If you're so worried about 218MB then your computer is not really up to the task of running Windows 2000. 'Gee my 80GB drive is filling up fast, good thing I've got that extra 218MB!' Doh. |

| 31092 | 2002-01-16 11:48:00 | DLL - Dynamic Link Library Description (Taken from W2K Resource Kit) A feature of the MS Windows family of operating systems. DLL's allow executable routines, generally serving as a specific function or set of functions, to be stored seperately as files with dll extensions, and to be loaded only when needed by the program that needs them. I certainly wouldnt start deleting any of these files, as they are all required. Deleting any would be a quick way of screwing Windows. Hope this offers ample explanation |
