If i change the brightness and contrast etc on my monitor (ViewSonic E70) its better but not great. Then when i use the net or other windows programs its far too bright it hurts my eyes. Is it the integrated 3d and video's fault ? or what ? Thanx again :) |

hi Dunno,
it is rare that a video adapter and monitor will render a colour the same as another computer. You can obtain colour cards to hold up to the screen to allow accurate calibration. Your video card may support gamma correction. If so try using it to adjust your brightness. You may have more sucess this way as it brightens the darker colours more than bright ones. If your graphics adapter supports gamma correction the option will likely be in the Advanced Display Properties. |

I did try to calibrate it using the 'Color Key' and the ViewSonic 'Colorific' software, but it was dificult to match because the colours on the screen were so different to the color key. Also tried ajusting the gamma settings etc. Perhaps i should experiment a bit more with the color key matching and gamma settings. Thanx again !! |
