| 31427 | 2002-01-16 04:01:00 | I just downloaded a Lord of the Rings pic. I opened the file and nothing happened. My hard drive was making a bit of a noise though. I triedto delete it but I wasn't allowed. I went into the properties of this file only to find out it had an ending of jpg.vbs. I went to the script tab and checked 'Stop script after specified number of seconds' box (The specified number was 1). It stopped but turned all my mp3 and jpg files into mp3.vbs and jpg.vbs files! It also changed the style of my Program Files folder AND My Computer folder. Normally when you click once on an icon the details would come up the left hand side but now they were appearing at the top! And rather large too. So how do I get my pictures and music back? P.S. I have Windows 98 SE. | Guest (0) | ||

I would just tell you to rename them back to normal. But it doesn't mean it's going to stay that way. So hopefully the antivirus can fix it for you. |

Off memory there is a option in the windows setup of win98 and 98se to disbable VBS as well. | Guest (0) | ||
