| 31431 | 2002-01-16 03:53:00 | I purchased a new PC 6 months ago.... (Plll 1000 mhz 815 chipset, MS-6315 Micro-ATX S1 M/B, 383 mb Ram) Integrated 3D graffics, sound etc..... and when i did i asked weather i could upgrade my graffics card to a Gforce or similar at a later date, i was told yes. The other day My father and my younger bro went to purchase a new PC for him at the same shop and was told i couldn't upgrade my graffics without buying a new Mother board !! So he bought a diferent system. I'm confused now coz i thought i could !! Any way, anyone with the knowledge to answer this question please do i would apreciate it muchly :) And is it worth it ? |

Did you receive a motherboard manual when you bought your machine? If so, have a look through and somewhere there should be a list of what's on the motherboard - look for an 'AGP slot'. If you are wanting a decent graphics card this is the slot you'll need in your motherboard! Otherwise I guess the best way is to take your box to the computer shop and get them to take a look at it! Hope this helps :-) |
