| 31306 | 2002-01-15 08:37:00 | Hi, i have a problem with starting windows 95 on my old PC. The message on the screen says *missing operating system* so we inserted a start up disk. Then message shows *starting windows 95*. But we dont know what are the following steps to complete/restore the windows 95 operating system. we appreciate your help. Thanks Ken |

| 31307 | 2002-01-16 09:20:00 | hey there ken liew put your windows 98 startup disk in your computer before it starts and then you get a option weather to start up with a help of cd ,start without help of cd,startup.... you choose the 1st opption and when it gives you prompt a:/ type in scandisk/all then it scans your hard drive for errors and then when you have completed it ,exit the scandisk and press Alt + ctrl + delete and it starts up again (leave your floppy in) put your windows 95 cd in then you should again choose the 1st option wait till it prompt a:/ and the type in setup.exe or setup/windows95 or type in your cd rom drive eg: d or f then the setup should start to re-install your windows 95 |
