| 31813 | 2002-01-18 11:11:00 | I have a HP Vectra VL with 32 mb's ram and 2.8 or 3.2 (?)Gb HD loaded with windows ME.What i would like to know is if i could upgrade the ram and HD to get better performance out of it and if so what would be the best way to go about it and what sort of price would i be looking at or would i be better buying a new system?.Any advice appreciated.Cheers. | Guest (0) | ||

It may not have ATA 66/100 controllers which would give your new hard drive better performance. The RAM could be EDO RAM which is quite expensive and not good as SD RAM. If it's SD RAM it maybe an option to get more but that all depends on quite a lot. You may try looking at a new PC. I'll come back with what I find about the HP Vectra VL. |
