| 31757 | 2002-01-18 04:34:00 | Scandisk runs all day because it's getting heaps of restarts under win95. It's OK if run under Dos. No other know programs are running at time. Anyone know how I find out what is causing the restarts. Cheers, Ron! |

| 31758 | 2002-01-18 04:54:00 | ron ive got the same problem on my windows 98 very annoying it restarted 10 times then said something about there a program on do this : close all virus detecting progrms then hold down alt control and then tap the del next to end(or backspace if del doesn't work)these are the running background tasks click end task to all of them except for explorer and systray . now try scandisk. |

| 31760 | 2002-01-18 09:29:00 | hey, i've had the same troubs sometimes, but i have learnt that you must turn your screen-saver off, disable virus scanner and any other programs that check for a connection (eg. MSN Messenger). Oh and if it still ain't workin check the auto-screen shut off thingy (found in display properties)that could do it too. jus a thought tones:op~~ |
